The Power of Float Therapy
Experience Total Relaxation for
Mind & Body
Float Therapy provides an unparalleled environment for complete relaxation of both the mind and body. By immersing yourself in a pod with water at skin temperature and enriched with Epsom salts, you can achieve a state of tranquility and relief from physical tension.
The water's 35% density in Epsom salts (900 pounds) ensures you float without any effort.
Pain & Stress Relief
Free from gravity's pull, the body releases tension, often alleviating long-held pain.
Detox & Reduce Inflammation
The Epsom salt water draws out toxins and can soothe inflammation, benefiting sore muscles and joints.
The serene environment promotes a meditative state, enhancing clarity, creativity, and learning.
Our pod is an enclosed shallow pool of warm water, maintained at a comfortable 94 degrees. The enclosed nature of the pod ensures a consistent temperature, enhancing your relaxation experience. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned floater, each session can offer profound relaxation and healing.

New Float Clients: What You Need to Know
Before Your Visit!
You'll shower before and after your float session in a private bathroom, adding about 30 minutes to your visit. We provide shower supplies and more.
No clothing or bathing suits are worn in the float pod.
Please avoid floating if you have infections, open skin areas, are menstruating, recently dyed your hair, have certain ear conditions, or limited mobility.
Eat lightly, limit caffeine, and avoid mind-altering substances or alcohol before and during your float.
Refrain from smoking before floating as it affects water quality.
We look forward to meeting you on your scheduled date and time. Arrive 10-15 minutes early for paperwork and orientation.
We keep a credit card on file to secure your appointment; it's only charged after the service. You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment, but a no-show will incur the full charge."

We recommend to eat very lightly to avoid being hungry yet not too full. Limit drinking beverages since this could interrupt your float time. Avoid caffeinated beverages which would interfere with relaxation.
Our float sessions are for 90 minutes which is your time in the float pod. Every client must shower for a good five minutes before entering the pod and will shower after to remove salt. We allow an additional 30 minutes for your private use of the attached bathroom for this reason. New float clients need to arrive 20 minutes before first float for intake registration and orientation.
Just yourself! We provide all that you need to float -toiletries for the shower before and after, towels, and earplugs. You may bring personal toiletries to use after floating, like a hairbrush. A hair dryer is on site for use.
No. The float room is private. The swimsuit would not only be restrictive for you but also may bring contaminants into the pod so we do not allow swimsuits.
Small cuts and scrapes may sting for a moment when entering the water, but that should quickly subside. If you have a large cut or scrape, then we recommend you wait until it's healed before floating. Since abraded skin can be salt sensitive, we recommend not shaving the day of your float.
The Wellness Center MN keeps a Credit Card on file to hold your first Float appointment. It will be charged the full amount if you cancel after the 24 hour notice or if you no-show.
Yes, the pod is a closed, comfortable environment where you are totally in charge of coming and going. You can choose to float with lights on or off. Since you are more above the water, keeping the door closed maintains a warmer environment for floating.
We whole-heartedly recommend floating before a massage. The relaxing float experience aided by the epsom salts, helps release muscle tension, allowing for a deeper, more effective massage. Especially good for the muscle-bound or extra tight tissue. We do not allow floating after the massage since the massage oils used can persist and cause a problem in the float filter.
We have 1 pod and so only 1 person can float at a time. Only 1 person can fit in the pod comfortably. Float appointments may be scheduled back to back.
Please do not use the float pod if you:
-Have an infectious disease including cold or flu
-Have an open skin area such as cuts, burns, rashes or hemorrhoids
-Have a history of ear problems or balance conditions
-Suffer from seizures or have had a recent concussion
-Experience flatulence or incontinence
-Have had psychotic episodes and are not under medical care
-Are under the influence of an intoxicating substance
-Are using a hair/body product that cannot be completely washed off and may alter pod water. Note that the pod water may fade recently dyed hair
-Clients with limited mobility/physical disabilities may not be able to use the pod and should assess the situation beforehand. A person needs to be able to get into and out of the pod by themselves without assistance, for safety reasons.
